An "Ah-Ha" Moment

In the first round of classes this school year, I read the book To Sell is Human by Daniel Pink in my 5th hour workshop. Every day in class we read and took notes on the book. I participated in small group and full class discussions. While reading the book, I learned about different selling and marketing strategies, how buying and selling techniques have changed over the years, and what qualties make a successful salesperson. One of the most important things I learned after reading this book is that we are all salespeople in our own ways. Every single day when we're at home with our family, at school with our teachers and classmates, or at work with our bosses and co-workers we are using selling techniques. Whether it's selling yourself in a job interview or convincing your parents to let you do something on Friday night with your friends, we are selling. Selling isn't always tecnically associated with a buyer, and that is something that I always keep in mind now after reading this book.
